I am a Canadian Registered Nurse who moved to the UK a year ago. My big passion in life is the outdoors. I love spending time in nature, especially hiking and backpacking. I've recently started training for a marathon.
My Experience
I have extensive training from my nursing degree as well as my Emergency Nursing Speciality Certificate which both included adult and paediatric training. In Canada, I worked as Registered Nurse in a busy emergency department for 6 years with both adults and children. I have also worked at a sports camp for 4 summers as the primary nurse for boys aged 8-16. In the UK, I worked as an after school nanny for two children ages 4 and 6. I am not currently registered as a nurse in the UK, but do bring my knowledge and experience.
My Qualifications
I do not hold an UK qualifications but am a Canadian Registered Nurse as described above.
I have a recent UK DBS as well as a Canadian Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sectors check (similar to and enhanced DBS)
My Availability
I am looking for short term work as I wait for my nursing job to start, likely sometime in April. I am ideally looking to work relatively locally to teddington, but am able to travel. I currently work one day a week on tuesdays doing sewing repairs on used outdoor clothing and gear, though there is some flexibility on this day. I am looking for anything from the occasional babysitting to part-time weekly commitments. I am not able to do live in nannying, but am happy to do the occasional overnight.
