About Me
I offer a very home from home setting, focusing on the child and their needs. The happiness and wellbeing of the children in my care is my priority. Following their interests while developing their confidence. I follow aspects of the Montessori approach within my setting - as well as other philosophies, teaching every day life skills. Children are involved with cooking, baking, messy play, sensory play as well as having plenty of free play to become self aware. We like to go on walks to various parks, beaches, woodlands and other local areas, always dressed for the occasion and weather. I follow attachment parenting and will always respond to a child's needs, whether they need a cuddle or a quiet day or they need to run and let off steam. I'm all about helping a child make secure attachments to help them become balanced, self aware and grow their independence.
My Experience
I have a range of experience, from working in primary schools and day nurseries, to private nannying and now as a childminder.
I am also a mum to two young children.
