About Me
Family with two boys aged 2 (nursery) and 5 (year 1) living in North Dulwich looking for an after school nanny. We are a multicultural family with roots in England, India and Sweden. We enjoy being active, the boys love going to the park either in the playground or running/cycling around. They are very affectionate towards each other and play nicely together. We cook a lot together and it is important that the children eat healthy food and develop an understanding of nutrition.
We would be looking for a reliable and experienced after school nanny that shares our values of being active and encourages exploration, curiosity and development. The boys are very kind and full of life so it is also important that the person thrives in an active environment. A can do attitude is appreciated together with imagination to help the boys learn about responsibility and gain self-confidence through participating in basic chores.
My Requirements
The main duties would be picking up the children from nursery and school – both settings currently approximately 15 minute walk from the house in the same direction (they will be in the same setting from the autumn term), preparing dinner and helping the children to eat at dinner time, help the older child with schoolwork (spellings and hearing them read), take the older child to after school activities (swimming), take them both to the park after school and occasionally prepare the children for bed. The work would also include washing up and tidying up after the children.
Position would be Monday to Friday approximately 21 hours a week (2-6:30pm Mon-Thurs and 2-5pm on Fri) during term time and additional hours during the school holidays. There might also be the odd evening or weekend as agreed. We are looking for long-term support with the hope that if both parties are happy the nanny would stay with us for many years to come.
