Hi, my name is Aminata, but you can call me Ami. I love working with children of all ages. I am a qualified practitioner that’s currently working in a nursery, but my schedule is very flexible to meet each families needs. I bring warmth, creativity, and care to every little one I meet.
I have a deep love for arts and crafts, storytelling, and simply bonding with children, creating a space where they feel safe, engaged while with me. Books are another passion of mine, I also love writing poems.
I am first aid trained, CPR qualified, DBS approved

My Experience
I knew I was meant to work with kids ever since I was young. They will be drawn to me wherever I go. So from secondary school, that’s where it all began, and I learnt from there. I did work experience working in a primary school—the best thing ever .
After that, I took that onto college, where I then wanted to do a qualification in childcare and did that, which led me to having a qualified L3 early years certificate. I also did a lot of work experience and block placements as it was a requirement for my course. After that, I then decided to go to uni to study speech and language, which didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, as I left in first year and then found out about a camp in Canada, which you could work there for 3 months with children. I decided, why not try something different? This was in 2023 and was the most amazing thing ever. ? Having fun planning activities and getting to know the children— the group of kids I took care of were from ages 5-6, boys, haha. And then that ended and came back, and I decided to work in nurseries. I did work in numerous ones, with one requiring me to take a first aid course that is now valid until now . And currently, I am working flexibly in a branch which I love so much and have bonded with the children in ways I didn’t know from 3-month-old babies to 4-year-old kids— it’s amazing.
