About Me
Hi, my name is Charlotte. I’m 21 years old and I’m based in the centre of Sheffield.
I’m a student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Primary Education (5-11), and currently taking part in teacher training placement at a local primary school in a Year 4 class.
I have a variety of experience working with children, including:
- Working as an English Language Teacher in Madrid, Spain for 6 months (January - June 2024), helping Spanish children improve their English language skills through a range of fun and educational activities!
- Working as a Summer Camp Counsellor at a Camp in Ottawa, Canada. Junior Girls Counsellor for 6 weeks (June - July 2024), working with a group of children between the ages 5 - 9 years old, helping them with tasks like getting ready for the day, getting ready for bed, helping them fall asleep, planning and preparing fun, daily activities, helping them at mealtimes, supporting them with any issues like homesickness, etc.
- Working as a Christmas Elf at Santa’s Grotto through the Christmas Period (November - December 2024). Creating special, magical moments for children and families during a busy, fast paced (but very rewarding) time!
- Currently training to become a Primary School Teacher - developing my skills through academic training and professional practice in a school.
