About Me
We welcomed our first child Isabel into our family in February 2025. I am English and my wife is Colombian so we are raising her English/Spanish bilingual. I work in financial services and my wife as a software engineer ... my wife is taking a year out but we are looking for a nanny from when she goes back to work in February 2026, as we feel one year old is too early to be sending our daughter to nursery. Really what we're looking for is a warm, caring and friendly person who can give Isabel the 1-to-1 attention she needs to support her learning and development. Both of us work mostly from home so there will always be some support around if needed. I grew up with music and would love for Isabel to do the same. Apart from that we enjoy getting out and about and making sure we are learning and keeping active, and would like to pass that ethos on, too. As a family I would like to think we are kind and welcoming, and we're looking for someone who can slot into the family on a part-time basis to help us out. We live in the Straiton/Loanhead area. My Requirements
I am exploring options for a part-time nanny for my daughter. I would like to find someone for 3 days/week 9-5 (24hrs/week). We could pay somewhere around £12/hour gross (with a small amount of wriggle room for the right candidate). The 3 days we would need the cover are still tbd (some room for negotiation) and would likely be either Mon/Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu/Fri, starting February 2026. My ideal person would be warm and interested in early years learning & creativity. I appreciate we are quite in advance of February 2026, but looking to put things in place in good time, and would be happy to put in place a forward agreement/be receptive to suggestions how to structure it.
