Hi! I’m the mother of a 6-year-old, and both my husband and I work in healthcare. Our family is warm, kind, and welcoming, and our child is a joy to be around. He’s very mature for his age—sweet, well-spoken, and able to express his needs clearly. He’s also independent with self-care tasks and doesn’t have tantrums.
Our child loves reading books (he’s a confident independent reader!) and enjoys playing with his toys. We’re looking for someone who shares our values of kindness and warmth to help care for him.
My Requirements
We are looking for a reliable nanny/babysitter to assist with pre-school and after-school care for our child, who is in primary school.
Responsibilities include:
Morning care: Occasionally arriving early (7:00–7:30 AM) to help with breakfast and school drop-off if both parents have morning shifts. On other days, if our shifts start later (at 9:00 AM), your role would simply involve picking him up from our home around 8:30 AM and walking him to school. The school gates open from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM, so you would finish mornings quite early. The school is a 10-minute walk from our home or a 5-minute drive.
Afternoon care: Picking him up at 3:30 PM (or 5:30 PM if attending the After-School Club) and staying with him until we return, which is typically between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. If we arrive at 5:30 PM, you could leave right away.
Occasional weekends: On rare occasions, providing care if both parents have shifts.
This role is flexible, as we will do our best to adjust our schedules, but your support may be needed on varying days due to our shift-based rota. The start date is expected in 1–2 months, once NHS onboarding is complete.
On school holidays, we might need a Childminder as well if we both have shifts.
