About Me
We are a couple who have been together for nearly 12 years, 7 of those married. We have a beautiful boy born in Spring 2022. He is bright and creative and always on the go. We’ve just moved to Street and are looking to find some part time childcare to give us a break and to help our son develop further socially.
We’ve had a tough year involving long term hospital treatment for Daddy, but thankfully he’s back at home and healthy.
My Requirements
We would love to find someone who shares our love for all of nature, from the foxes to the foxgloves, someone who is open minded and inclusive, and someone who understands the emotional needs of toddlers.
We have tried to apply a ‘gentle parenting’ technique to our son’s upbringing, learning co-regulation in order to empathise fully with his big feelings. This is definitely much easier in theory than in practice!
We don’t believe in ‘time outs’ or shaming children for their behaviour. We try to use every ‘bad behaviour’ moment as a teaching and learning opportunity. We would love to find someone who shares these beliefs that littles need empathy, patience and compassion in order to learn and flourish.
As our son isn’t used to being away from both parents for more than half a day, we initially would be looking 2 mornings a week childcare, and then when he’s ready, 2 full days. We are flexible with which days of the week he has childcare.
