My Summary
About Me
Over the past three years, I’ve worked in a corporate role where I've gained valuable skills like organisation, time management, and adaptability. But the truth is, the happiest and most fulfilling work I’ve done was volunteering with children. I loved creating a space where they could be creative and confident, and it made me realise how much I enjoy working with children.
Before my office roles, I worked in a health food café, making delicious meals and embracing my creative side. Creativity has always been a big part of my life—I’m an avid crafter and spend my free time crocheting, drawing, painting, knitting, and baking. These are all things I’d love to share with the children I care for, helping them explore their own creativity and have fun along the way.
I grew up in the countryside, so being outdoors is second nature to me. Now living in Bristol with my fiancée, I still love spending time outside, whether it’s going for walks, exploring nature, or enjoying a sunny afternoon in the park. I’d make sure that outdoor play and fresh air are a big part of my time with the children I look after.
I’m passionate about creating a fun, nurturing, and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive. I can’t wait to bring my creativity, energy, and caring approach to this role.
My Experience
I have a strong background in childcare and a genuine passion for working with children. At the age of 16, I regularly babysat for family friends, looking after children ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. This experience taught me how to adapt to different ages and needs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
A few years ago, I volunteered with a children’s charity specialising in encouraging children to be creative through storytelling workshops. This role enabled me to engage with children in a fun and educational way, fostering their imagination and confidence.
I am also a proud godmother to my best friend’s one-year-old and have two nephews whom I absolutely adore. These personal connections have deepened my understanding of the joy and responsibility that comes with caring for children.
My Qualifications
I have a full DBS certificate. I also have a Bachelors Degree, although not in childcare.
