About Me
My name is Alethea, I am a former preschool leader and HLTA with a deep passion for nurturing children’s growth and development. My husband Will, our three daughters – Lowri (10), Mollie (8), and Ayla (4) – and I have created a family home where we embrace the outdoors, encouraging our children to play independently and explore their natural surroundings. Through this, we foster qualities like independence, confidence, and ambition. I bring a diverse range of skills to my work, including experience with sheep farming, which I look forward to sharing with the children in my care, particularly during the exciting lambing season and bottle feeding! Additionally, after a career break following the birth of my first daughter, I trained as a Complementary Therapist and Reflexologist, specialising in fertility and palliative care, which has further strengthened my ability to provide holistic and compassionate care.
My Experience
Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience working with children of various ages in teaching roles and as a former pre school leader, providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. I have a strong understanding of child development and enjoy creating activities that are both fun and educational. My approach emphasises patience, trust, and communication, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported. I am experienced in managing daily routines, preparing meals, and helping with homework, while always being attentive to their individual needs. My goal as a childminder is to foster a nurturing atmosphere where children can grow, learn, and feel secure.
