Hi, I’m Lani! I live in Newquay, where I’m lucky to enjoy the beautiful beaches and coastal paths on my doorstep. In my free time, I love sea swimming, playing guitar, time with my family, practicing yoga, and getting lost in a good book.
I come with 9 years of experience in Early Years childcare and specialize in outdoor learning and additional needs; I am committed to supporting and advocating for Neurodivergent children and their families. My approach is warm and holistic, grounded in child psychology and respect for each child’s individuality. I’m passionate about helping children build a strong sense of self through promoting their independence, resilience, and emotional well-being. I love encouraging them to explore the outdoors, from nature walks to messy play and storytelling. I believe time in nature is a crucial way for children to connect with the world, grow physically and emotionally, and spark curiosity.

- SEND Expertise: Over 3 years as a Special Educational Needs & Disability Coordinator (SENCO), advocating for children & families. Experience supporting a vast range of needs, e.g., neurodivergence, trauma, behaviour challenges, Downsyndrome etc.
- Neurodivergent Advocate & Consultant: Dedicated to propelling the Neurodiversity-Affirming Movement, I encourage people to think differently about difference and strive for equity over equality; 'Different, not less'.
- Holistic Development: Focused on nurturing confidence, emotional well-being, and a strong sense of self-worth in every child.

Lani has been working with me for 5 months, giving me invaluable support with my three children: Neurodivergent 4 year old and baby twin girls!
With a calm and professional manner, and knowledgeable and intuitive approach, Lani was someone who all my children felt comfortable with and thrived in her presence.
I chose Lani due to her extensive experience and passion for the learning and development of children with SEN (plus a great reference)!
My expectations were exceeded, I have learnt so much from you in watching you interact with my son and from your advise on how as a family, we can implement strategise to meet his evolving needs.
Lani was beyond capable and trustworthy in helping me with the twins, we were all at ease with her settling them to sleep, helping me wean them, bathing them, entertaining them and all round being really in tune to their needs!
I cannot recommend Lani enough, she is wise beyond her years.
