My Summary
About Me
** Currently in the process of becoming Ofsted registered **
** Looking for families to start in September 2025 **
Hi, I'm Vikkie, an experienced KS1 teacher with a specialism in phonics and early reading. As a passionate educator and a mummy to a six month old baby boy, I understand the importance of providing a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
I am in the process of setting up Little Explorers Childcare from my home in Stockwood (Bristol). I will be offering a home-from-home setting where children can thrive through play based learning. I believe that play is the foundation for all early development - whether it's exploring the outdoors, engaging in imaginative play, or getting creative with arts and crafts. I will encourage children to learn through experiences that spark curiosity and creativity.
With my background in primary teaching, I will place a strong emphasis on recognising each child as an individual, supporting their unique interests, strengths and development at their own pace. I also value the importance of outdoor play and community exploration, and I will make the most of the local nature reserve, community library, and local area, to give children opportunities to be active, discover, and engage with the world around them.
If you're looking for a childminder who values play, creativity, and early learning, I'd love to talk with you and see how I could support your family. Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
