My name is Damilola Ogunleye. I was born and raised in Nigeria in a loving family that taught me the importance of kindness, hard work, and caring for others. These values are a core part of who I am today.
I have previously worked as a customer service representative at First Bank, where I attended to customer complaints via phone calls, email, and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, I worked as a social worker during my NYSC days, contributing to community development services. I also have experience as a care assistant.
Currently, I live in Birmingham with my family, including my two loving sons, who bring immense joy to my life. As a mother, I have learned how to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.
In my previous church, I served as a children's teacher, where I taught and cared for children. I often volunteered to look after children for parents who needed support during weekdays or weekends. I love playing with kids, ensuring their safety, and creating a happy environment for them. I am proud to say I can care for a child from birth to adulthood, having successfully raised my own two children.
Additionally, I am a very good cook, skilled in preparing pastries, small chops, and various types of meals that children enjoy. I am also proficient in cleaning and maintaining a tidy and organized environment.
I hold a BSc in Education, and during my studies, I completed teaching practice at two different schools, which qualifies me as a teacher. I also possess a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate.
I am passionate about helping families and children, and I am eager to bring my experience, skills, and love for caregiving to this role.
My Experience
I have experience looking after children of different ages, especially between 0-4 years and 5-10 years.
For example, I cared for a 3-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl for around 15 hours a week for a year. My main tasks included keeping them entertained with fun activities like storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. I also helped with homework, prepared meals, and made sure their bedtime routine went smoothly so they felt comfortable and secure.
As a mum of two boys, I’ve also looked after children from birth. I’ve handled everything from feeding and changing diapers to creating routines that help them grow and thrive. I love planning activities like singing, sensory play, and games to keep them happy and learning.
I am also a good cook and I can make delicious delicacies for the family if need be.
My Qualifications
I have my GCSEs and I have my results including mathematics and English, and I also have my degree in Bsc in Education and during my Bsc I undergone a teaching practice in two different schools for 6 months each and that makes me a qualified teacher and I have my TRCN certificate and am currently doing my masters in International Business with Human Resource management

Base on my experience in caring for children I will love to be getting 13 pounds per hour however I am open to discussion and learn more about the payment rate for the role
