My Summary
About Me
My Name is Louise. I am in the pre-registration stage of becoming a child minder. My application has been approved by CIW and I am awaiting home inspection before I can open. I am aiming to be open by March/April 2025.
I live in Caerau, Cardiff in a semi detached 3 bedroom house with my partner Ross (who is also DBS checked) and our two daughters aged 5 and 2.5. We also have a cat called Daisy.
I will be offering full time and part time spaces for children aged 0-12, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5.30pm. However, flexible hours can be discussed if needed.
I will offer wrap around school drop offs and pick ups to Pencaerau Primary School, Ysgol Nant Caerau and Trelai primary school.
We have a dedicated play room for the children in our care where stimulating activities and resources are provided. I have my own car to be able to transport the children for days out to visit local parks and play groups.
My Experience
I have lots of childcare experience as I have worked with children for 13 years. I started out as an apprentice back in 2012 in a private nursery where I achieved my level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. I stayed there for 4 years before moving on to a bigger, fast-paced nursery where I became room manager.
I also became a nanny for two years caring for children in their own home before I had two children of my own.
After maternity leave, I worked as a Parent Group Facilitator for Flying start, running stay and play sessions for families in the local area.
I have achieved many training qualifications such as:

Food Hygiene
