About Me
Our little family consists of my husband and I, our little girl Sophie who is 12 years old and our cheeky cockapoo Marley!! Whilst I run my own business from home, I also care for Sophie who is home educated full time. Sophie has complex health needs as well as special education needs (profound multiple learning difficulties). She loves sensory activities and thoroughly enjoys her sensory stories as they give her a lot of stimulation. She loves connecting with the adults who work with her and our wish is to fill her little life with as many enriching experiences as possible.
My Requirements
We are looking for a personal assistant for Sophie, to join her little team of tutor, physiotherapist and personal assistants. The ideal candidate would need to have an interest in getting to know Sophie, interacting with her as part of her educational programme (which involves a lot of fun sensory play!) as well as supporting her personal/medical needs. Experience and/or qualifications in education would be advantageous, but not an absolute must. We are a very supportive family and will provide as much training as required, both from a health and educational perspective. The hours are flexible and would range from 4 - 20 hours, so there is plenty of scope for finding the right balance for both parties. Hourly rate, working days, DBS checks and training requirements will be discussed at the first meeting.
