Hello, I’m Jessica, a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator with extensive experience working with children of all ages, including those with Speech and Language delays. I’m currently completing my pre-registration with Ofsted and am thrilled to introduce my new childcare service, Little Herons!
Based in Beck Row, where I live with my husband and our 6-year-old son, I offer a warm, home-from-home setting designed to be a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for your little one. At Little Herons, children enjoy thoughtfully planned activities and outings that encourage learning, creativity, and fun while supporting their individual development.
I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers, working together to provide the best possible care for your child.
My Experience
As a mother to my 6-year-old son, I understand the importance of finding trustworthy, nurturing, and high-quality childcare. My passion for early years education has been shaped not only by my own parenting journey but also through my extensive professional experience.
I have previously worked as a co-childminder, caring for children from 6 weeks to 10 years old, providing before and after-school care as well as holiday club support. My background in health and social care has given me valuable insight into child development, well-being, and safeguarding.
I have extensive experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with developmental delays and behavioural needs. I am also a qualified Elklan "Let’s Talk" Tutor for Under 5s, which has strengthened my ability to support children’s speech, language, and communication development.
With a strong foundation in behaviour management and child-centred learning, I strive to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
My Qualifications
For your peace of mind, I hold Paediatric First Aid training and have undergone a full enhanced DBS check. I am also Level 3 qualified in Early Years Education and hold Advanced Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3) certification.
