About Me
I love painting, crafting, gardening, and hiking. I think children deserve to have their creativity and interests fostered in a caring environment! I can help with homework for older kids and get younger ones out into nature to learn through experience. Or we can spend time inside crafting and fulling their inner creativity! I'm open to different parenting and learning styles, I just truly enjoy fostering young minds!
My Experience
My most formal role was as an Ecological Camp Educator for three months at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens for ages four to ten in 2023. However, I am one of seven and have been taking care of my younger siblings since I could hold a bottle. When I was 13, I was the assistant coach for the 5U cheerleading team for my church. I then went on to babysit for multiple families throughout my later teen years, becoming a regular nanny for one family. I also lead children's workshops with a community farm. During uni, I was a math and science tutor to children and teens (10-18), I helped with homework, test prep, and children falling behind due the COVID-pandemic.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor's in Agroecology with a focus on community systems. My education included classes like Psychology and Introduction to Teaching. I am also CPR/AED trained for infants to adults.
