I am a very patient, intelligent woman that over the years across 2 predominate industries has grown & adapted to the position I am in. I am a positive person & enjoy filtering that positivity through my job responsibilities at hand. I am a very approachable person, with a lot of empathy & I have a constructive & positive attitude.
I have always been able to connect with children & I’d like to think they also connect with me- a lot of children tend to me drawn to me- so I’ll take that as a compliment.
Any child/children I would be responsible for I feel that I could work closely with to ensure they get the best out of having me around. I am also a lot of fun!
I get great satisfaction out of encouraging little people to grow.
I haven’t been within the nanny industry for some time, but since my first nanny position, I have really understood the responsibilities & the amount of input I need to have to help children flourish.
I am very diplomatic & understanding & I pride myself on being humble.
I have previously had paediatric first aid & Level 2 first aid, but need to retake to being up to date. Also I have had numerous DBS checks but would need a new one should I be required to have one.
My Experience
I qualified in Devon (my hometown) in 2011. After I completed my qualification, I became a private nanny to one of my key children along with his new born brother. Unfortunately the newborn had complications at birth, which meant he was on medication for quite some time & I had to monitor his health daily.
Their parents worked in high profile jobs so worked long hours & sometimes had to attend out of hour meetings, which meant I would baby sit. I did also do some baby sitting on the side for some of the families from the nursery.
After a career change & a relocation to Margate I became a nursery nurse in a family run Montessori nursery. The nursery was very hands on with learning through play, including having a forest school.
I am now ready to go back into Nannying.
