About Me
Hi, I'm Emily. I am a qualified primary teacher with a master's degree in education, I specialise in early reading and phonics. I offer tailored tutoring in these areas as well as numeracy and a range of primary subjects. I have experience with both the English National Curriculum and the Curriculum for Wales, with an in depth understanding of the English Phonics Screener undertaken in Year 1. I believe that learning should be enjoyable and fun in order for children to learn effectively. Building a strong foundation for reading, literacy and numeracy can open many doors for children, and doing so through play enables them to enjoy their learning and reach their full potential.

I am an experienced Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 teacher, whilst also having taught across the primary year groups. I have experience as a Private Nanny as well as across a range of Early Years settings.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
I believe it is important to meet the children before we commence a session in order for us to get to know each other, for them to feel comfortable, and for me to gauge their current needs. Therefore, I offer an introductory session for £20/30mins. I offer half hourly sessions for £35 and hourly sessions for £50. For younger children I would recommend half hour sessions. These prices reflect experience, qualifications and expertise, as well as taking into account travel time.
