Hello, I'm Olive. I live in the southside of Glasgow in Govanhill. I'm currently studying History which I enjoy a lot, and will graduate soon. My main interests are street photography, writing and painting. I love cooking and baking (trying to perfect bread at the minute). I am quite an organised person and actually enjoy cleaning, tidying and washing up, as I find it quite meditative, so I keep a clean space and don't mind helping out with anything you needed doing around the house!
I really love kids, I think they have a lot of wisdom about the world, and enjoy getting on their level and having fun, whether they enjoy playing or making things together, or prefer their own space. I offer babysitting and tutoring, as well as help with school work; full days, or just for a few hours.
My Experience
Seven years of childcare experience in total, including children with ASD and Tourette's -
4 months as an au pair role looking after a seven year old girl. Helped her with school work, reading, putting her to bed and cooking for her, as well as picking up and dropping off to school, as well as overnight when parents were away.
6 years weekly childcare for 2 boys (both toddlers when I started, now starting secondary school). Cooking dinner, playing together, taking them out to do things or take them to their extracurricular activities. They both had lots of energy so lots of running around! Also helped tutor them whilst Covid lockdown meant they were at home.
Tutoring experience in English literature and language. Competent in other subjects for help with school work or tutoring.
My Qualifications
Fully DBS checked.
Level 2 food health and safety.
Currently studying History at the University of Glasgow (graduating July 2025).
My Availability
Available during the week in the afternoons (Monday from 3pm), evenings and overnight. Thurs to Sunday all day and overnight.
