About Me
Hello! My name is Leigh, and I’m a loving mother of two wonderful girls (6&7), a wife, and a dog mum. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I deeply understand the importance of creating a warm, nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.
Before becoming a childminder, I have worked in offices most of the time, as well as owning my own cleaning business for 18 months. I have also worked as a swimming teacher, where I gained valuable experience in working with children and fostering their confidence in a safe, supportive way. Additionally, I have volunteered in childcare settings, which has further strengthened my passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.
Outside of my professional experience, I have a true love for baking, and you’ll often find me in the kitchen creating delicious treats with my girls. I also have a deep connection to nature and enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks, exploring local parks, or simply enjoying the fresh air with my family. I believe in the importance of connecting with the world around us, and I strive to incorporate outdoor activities into my childminding routine.
As a childminder, I aim to provide a safe, fun, and educational space where children feel comfortable, loved, and encouraged to explore. My goal is to support each child’s growth with patience, care, and a focus on developing their individual interests and strengths.

My Experience
As a newly qualified childminder, I bring fresh enthusiasm and a strong passion for early childhood development. I have recently completed my training and certification, which has equipped me with the essential skills and knowledge to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
During my time working with children previously, I have gained hands-on experience working with children in various settings, learning to support their growth through engaging activities that promote creativity, learning, and social interaction. I am also well-versed in safeguarding procedures, health and safety protocols, and developing individual care plans to meet each child’s unique needs.
Although I am newly qualified, I have spent considerable time volunteering with children in family and community settings, which has further enhanced my ability to build trusting relationships with both children and their families. I am committed to ensuring that every child in my care feels valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their world with confidence.
I am excited to continue learning and growing in my profession while providing a positive, fun, and safe environment where children can thrive.
