About Me
Hi! I’m Hollie, I am offering babysitting services for children of all ages. I am an energetic, nurturing, caring and experienced person who loves supporting your little ones to feel loved and experience all the fun we can!
I have worked in a primary school for the past 3 years supporting children from 5-11years old and specialising in supporting children with additional needs. I have also worked in pre-schools and nursery settings caring for children from 6 months.
I love helping children reach their full potential and have fun in all they do! I am up for all things creative and messy but am always up for a cuddle and story (the Gruffalo is definitely one of my favourites).
I think outdoor play is amazing for children’s development and encourage exploring the outdoors be it in the beautiful sunshine or if we need to get our welly boots on and have fun jumping in the puddles.
Working in a primary school, I have planned and delivered various activities which meet the needs of the national curriculum and help children to reach those all important milestones and thrive in their development. I am keen to introduce children to sensory play and activities which help them to understand the world around them- learning through play is so important for our youngsters! I also complete annual training courses through my employer ranging from Safeguarding to Fire Hazard and Food Hygiene so am always up-to-date on the latest legislation.
I am flexible to your needs and I would love to support you with any help you require, please get in touch if you think I could help! My Experience
I have experience working with children of all ages from birth to 13. I currently work in a local primary school in Taunton supporting children with varying needs which I love! I have worked closely with children with autism and ADHD and have become confident in supporting the individualised needs of children where needed.
I have previous babysitting experience, caring for children of a variety of ages, helping with whatever jobs are needed whether it’s cooking meals, enjoying trips to the park together or helping with bedtime routines. I also have experience working in nurseries and pre-schools, I love helping children explore the world around them and help their imagination flourish (even if that does mean playing dress up for hours on end).
My Qualifications
-Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
-Foundation Degree in Primary Teaching and Learning
-Safeguarding and Child Protection Training
-I am currently in the last few months of completing a top-up-degree in Professional Practice in Education.
My Availability
I currently work full time in a primary school so my working hours are 8:30-3:30, term time, Monday to Friday meaning I am available after school, evenings and weekends during term time. During school holidays, my availability is fully flexible and am happy to offer as much support as needed :).
I am in the last few months of completing my teaching and learning degree (I attend uni on a Wednesday evening), once I have finished this degree, I will also be available on a Wednesday after school.
