About Me
Hello! My name is Katie, I am originally from Hertfordshire where I grew up in a small village called Bovingdon. I have grown up with one older brother and one younger brother. Once completing my GCSES’s and A Levels, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a Primary School Teacher and decided the perfect place for me to go was sunny Brighton.. I am currently a final year at the University of Brighton and studying Primary School teaching with a QTS focusing on the Early Years age group! In my family I also have three dogs so I am a massive animal lover.. In the future I hope to become a successful Primary School Teacher and to also travel!
My Experience
I first started doing part-time gymnastics coaching for the ages 4-12 and I did this role for 2 years before the pandemic. I planned lots of different activities and was in charge of my own group and the safety of the children around the gymnastics equipment. I then volunteered at a local primary school before applying for my university course to gain experience to write my personal statement for University. I did this for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed it and was in a year 4 class, at this point I was just observing the lessons. Furthermore, I have had placement in Reception, Nursery and just finished my final
Placement in Year 1!
