About Me
I grew up in London, but spent a lot of my childhood visiting family friends in Sussex where I made some lovely memories. When it came to choosing a university, I couldn’t think of a better place to spend the next three years and now find myself living in Brighton. I study English and History at the University of Sussex, and have dedicated this past year to the study of children’s literature.
I come from a very warm, loving and nurturing family, made up mostly of teachers. This inspired me to pursue teaching and childcare myself, and over the last few years, I’ve held several teaching assistant positions.
My favourite part of teaching was watching my students grow in confidence. I’ve had several very shy students over the years, and subsequently made it a priority to foster an environment where they felt comfortable enough to come out of their shell. Kindness and empathy are central to my approach and I go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels valued and supported.
My Experience
I spent two very fun years at art-K, nurturing children’s creativity and cultivating their imagination through a variety of arts and crafts. I supported several children with special educational needs and prioritised creating an inclusive space where they could thrive.
I’ve led drama classes for children aged four to fourteen designed to grow their confidence and develop their communication skills.
I’ve also set up a local children’s netball club to inspire more girls to get involved in sport.

DBS checked. Two years of childcare experience in a professional setting. Additional babysitting experience.

Available full time from May onwards.
