A 31 year old nanny, with over 10+ years experience. Looking to join a family in Bristol/Somerset area.
I am a dedicated childcare professional who is responsible, emotionally mature and well-mannered with a great deal of commitment and enthusiasm when promoting a child’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I use kind and gentle positive reinforcement to help maximise a child’s holistic development. Being a private nanny for over 10 years, I have developed strong, personalised bonds with the families I have worked with and loved every second of it. I have gained valuable experience as a childcare assistant in a Montessori-led nursery, where I embraced the child-centered approach to education. I have a strong passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a positive, supportive environment for both them and the parents/guardians.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare world for around 15/20 years where it all started with babysitting friends and family.
After studying nursing at university, I realised looking after people and children was something I had a great passion in and creating a positive and supportive environment for families!
I am currently a self-employed nanny, looking after either one child or multiple children, taking them on day trips, to school, completing household chores, preparing meals and enhancing their care with support for the families. I usually work as a nanny long term but currently have the potential to offer short term care, as well as adhoc and occasional evening childcare. I am up for discussing this with the family.
I also work adhoc at a local nursery in Bristol, supporting the care and development of young children in a Montessori nursery setting - assisting with daily activities, helping children with tasks, ensuring their safety, and creating a nurturing environment. I help to support lead staff in educational and recreational activities aswell.
During my summer months I help out with summer camps and kids clubs - helping organise and supervise activities for children of festival organisers during show days. Ensuring a safe and fun environment, assisting with games, crafts, and other entertainment, and providing support to families organising events. Engaging with kids, ensuring safety, and maintaining a positive experience for young attendees.
My DBS is up to date and I will soon be apart of the Disclosure and Barring Service Update Service, which allows you to see my certificate on the government website.
I am paediatric first aid trained with a full, clean UK driving license of 14 years.
I like to have a discussion with each family to ensure fees are agreeable and works for them to make it both affordable for them and me.
Over night and weekend childcare to be discussed between us.
I commute for work in and around Bristol & Somerset.
