About Me
My name is Tara, I was born in England, lived in Sri Lanka for 8 years during primary school years, and returned to Europe when I was 15. My father is Sri Lankan-British, an international lawyer , so with my family, I lived in France, England and Spain. I travel to Germany regularly, too, as my mother is German. I speak English, German and Spanish and a little French. I love traveling, meeting people, and I adore children. I have worked as a baby sitter during these past three years continuously and would like to become a professional nanny or teacher, as I feel that working with kids is my vocation. I am kind, gentle, open and flexible. I have a good sense of humour and love interacting and chatting with children. I enjoy reading to them, painting, playing dressing up, doing crafts and taking them on walks.
My Experience
I have had 3 years experience of working with children between the ages 5-10 years old. I worked in Corsica for a month in 2022 taking care of 2 children 5 and 8 years full time. In 2023 and 2024 I lived in Barcelona and worked for 3 different families, taking care of the children (ages 7-11). My duties included: collecting them from school, taking them to after school classes, doing homework with them, teaching them english, getting them ready for bed, often I would stay overnight and take care of the children in the morning or for a whole weekend.
My Qualifications
I completed my GCSEs. I am currently still working on my A-level, which I am doing with an online school as I moved with my family abroad.
My Availability
I recently moved to London so I am currently very flexible with my availablilty.
