About Me
I am a mum of two young children myself and have lots of personal experience looking after young children, I am a passionate caregiver and attentive to children's needs. I believe that learning through play is a fundamental part of early years education. I love being outdoors and will be actively encouraging nature school activities at our local country park as well as attending various baby and toddler groups. I provide healthy snacks and fresh drinking water daily to the children in my care and promote self care and personal hygiene skills in my setting to boost children's independence. I give regular updates to parents on settling in and learning journals via a child-minding app so guardians can see what the children do throughout there time with me. I accept funded placements.
My Experience
I am a mum of two fully grown children who have now flown the nest and to two young children. My eldest child has Autism and ADHD so I have experience of working/living with children with SEND needs. I have worked in various soft play settings and as a children's entertainer in my younger years, my previous business was centred around children's wear. I have a range of experience with crafts through that business and will be promoting expressive arts and craft activities in my setting. In previous work in hospitality I have gained extensive knowledge in COSHH, food hygiene and allergen training.
My Qualifications
As part of my child-minding training I have covered safeguarding and welfare practices and procedures, prevent procedures, assessment and planning and how to implement the EYFS and 7 areas of learning and development.
I also hold a full DBS check and in date paediatric first aid qualification.
My Availability
My opening hours are 8am-5pm Mon-Fri 46 weeks a year and am closed for 6 weeks, please note I close for 2 weeks in June and 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. The remaining 2 weeks will be used as training days/holiday days spaced throughout the year. I give 2 weeks notice for any days off.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge a daily rate of £45 and I do not offer half day placement
School collection and after school care is £10 per day per child (Abingdon Primary School)
