Compassionate Live-Out Nanny needed for a lovely family in Woodley – Start ASAP

Introduction: We are a friendly, easy-going, and flexible family of three, located in Woodley, seeking a dedicated and loving live-out nanny to care for our 3-month-old son. We cherish a kind and gentle approach to childcare and are looking for someone who will love our son as much as we do.

Position details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 30-35 hours per week (Note: Fridays may occasionally be off)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Our home in Woodley. We work from home, but provide a spare room with a TV where the nanny can use in down time/personal time when she doesn't need to be with baby.

Summary of nanny responsibilities: Caring for and being with baby during parent working hours, including feeding the baby according to a set schedule and preparing bottles. Regularly changing diapers and maintaining proper hygiene. Ensuring safe and restful nap times. Engaging in stimulating play and entertainment during wake windows. We believe in working closely with our nanny, collaborating on childcare strategies and daily routines to ensure the best care for the little one.

Specific responsibilities:
-Developmental support: Collaborating on activities that foster physical, cognitive, and emotional growth.

-Health and Safety: Monitoring the child to ensure a safe environment at all times. Administering basic first aid as necessary.

-Meal prep: Preparing and cleaning bottles; +/- transitioning to solid foods in a few months.

-Housekeeping (only related to the child): Cleaning and sterilizing bottles and feeding equipment. Laundering the baby's clothes where necesssary.

+/- Schedule management (if necessary): Keeping track of developmental milestones, upcoming doctor’s appointments, and vaccination dates. We value your input on maintaining an effective schedule for our son.

-Sleep training assistance: Helping establish a nap routine that works for him as he grows.

-Reporting and communication: Providing updates on your our son's activities, developments, and any issues or concerns. Open communication is crucial, and we encourage sharing insights and observations.

Requirements:
-Proven experience in childcare, with a love for children
-Trustworthy and reliable with verifiable references
-Safety-conscious with a gentle demeanor

Compensation:
-Up to £12.50 per hour, paid monthly ideally

We are eager to welcome a nanny who can become an extension of our family. The most important thing is that we need someone we can trust to be with our child, and who will grow to love him as we do :)
