Seeking Experienced SEN Support for Our Loving 11-Year-Old Daughter
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable person to provide regular support for our 11-year-old daughter on weekends and school holidays, with occasional ad-hoc babysitting.
Due to her early childhood trauma, she has various SEN needs and thrives with structure and adult attention, which we are struggling to provide for her in the family setting as well as balancing the needs of the other 3... and limiting clashes between the sisters.
Our daughter is bright, fun, and caring. She loves animals and the outdoors, and she receives excellent feedback for her behavior in her specialist provision placements, where she benefits from routine and one-on-one support. However, at home, she struggles with self-regulation, sharing attention, and independent play, so she requires continuous supervision and engagement and we are really struggling.
We hope to find someone who can become a valued part of our extended family—someone flexible, patient, and able to adapt activities and hours as needed. Maybe focus on her sensory needs and social understanding skills etc. (We are looking for someone who can just help to alleviate the pressure!)
