About Me
I am an Accountant, swimming teacher, manage a holiday camp in the school holidays, TA and part time Nanny. Ive been an accountant for nearly 15 years but always yearned to go into a profession that i truly loved, where i could make a more positive impact on the lives around me. What better profession than to help provide life saving skills to adults and children, to enable them to have fun but could also potentially save their lives. I decided to train to be a swimming teaching and have been swim teaching for about 4 years. My great relationships with the children and parents opened the door to becoming a nanny as parents were always enquiring about me looking after their children. With my managing skills from the accounts background and my ever growing childcare experience i decided to also apply for a managers role at a childcare holiday camp. I no longer practice accountancy as i a believe my personable, loving and tender care attributes are best served where i can make a positive impact and play a pivotal role in the lives of young children. I have 1 son myself and 6 God children (although i sometimes wonder if i was made God mother because of how much i spoil them lol)
My Experience
I have experience with babies, children and adults of all ages including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) As a TA (Teaching Assistant) my role included assisting both main stream students and 1:1 care for some of the children who had SEN. I most recently cared for a family who have 2 children aged 7 and 10 on a part time, as and when basis to suit the family needs. Supporting families who have children with special needs has allowed a much more deeper understanding of the care they need and what i can do to play a part in their development. While running the holiday camps i provide and partake in the days activities creating bonds and getting to know and acknowledge the individual needs of the children we have under our care. I also teach swimming from babies to adults, allowing me to be able to communicate and engage at all levels. I provide heaps of fun, warmth and care ensuring safety is paramount.
My Qualifications
I have an Accounting degree, Swim teaching STA, Life saving, Paediatric First Aid and full DBS
My Availability
