About Me
I am offering babysitting services for children of all ages (and also adults who require care & supervision) in their own homes (or hotel room if you are on holiday) and on daytime outings. I am a warm, experienced, responsible, caring and fun-loving 40-ish (!) year-old individual. I particularly enjoy reading bedtime stories! I have a clean DBS enhanced certificate a clean driving licence and my own car (although you will need to provide children’s car seats/booster seats if required). I am also a strong swimmer and undertook my RLSS Bronze Medallion for my Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at secondary school and worked as a pool lifeguard as a sixth form and university student.
My Experience
I have been providing occasional babysitting services since my teens - I turn 40 in 2025! I have experience with children of all ages from babies through to teens, including my own nephew (now 3) and baby niece, and various preschool and primary school aged children over the years. I have been a pool lifeguard, police officer, youth worker and registered nurse (adult general) (not all at the same time! But all have provided me with extensive safeguarding and first aid training).
My Qualifications
Safeguarding Children & Young People - Level 2 (March 2025).
First Aid training & certification with St John:
Emergency First Aid at Work (3-day course), May 2025
Paediatric First Aid (2-day course) June 2025.
RLSS Bronze Medallion and National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ) around year 2000 and further Life Saving training during Police training in 2008. Will be updating (redoing) my NPLQ in October 2025.
Clean DBS certificate (March 2025) & clean full Category B driving license (since 2003).
