My Summary
About Me
I am a creative and active individual who thrives in environments where I can engage with others, especially children, through play, exploration, and learning. I love finding ways to make activities both fun and meaningful, helping children not only enjoy themselves but also discover new things about their abilities, interests, and emotions in a safe and supportive space. Whether through imaginative play, outdoor adventures, or structured activities like theatre and sports, I am passionate about fostering confidence, curiosity, and resilience in young people. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors, embracing nature as a valuable tool for learning and well-being. Beyond my work, I have a deep love for dogs, sports, and staying active, all of which fuel my enthusiasm for creating engaging and dynamic experiences for children.
My Experience
During my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I gained extensive experience working with children across various settings, including preschools and primary schools, where I supported early childhood education and development. Alongside this, I provided babysitting services for multiple families, caring for children ranging from 10 months to 16 years, which deepened my understanding of diverse developmental needs. I have also been actively involved in summer camps, theatre groups, and outdoor learning activities, working with children of varying ages and abilities to foster creativity, social skills, and confidence. Currently, I work as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner at Barnardo’s, supporting children’s emotional and psychological well-being. This role allows me to apply my knowledge of child development and mental health to provide tailored interventions and support for young people facing a range of challenges.
My Qualifications
BSc Psychology with a minor in Spanish, MSc Clinical Psychology: Mental Health in Young Adults & Children, extensive PVG and DBS checks, first aid training, Level 6 certificate in Neurodiversity Training (specifically ADHD and Autism) and Level 4 in Counselling Skills. Hold a full UK Droving Licence and my own car.
