Hi there! My name is Maya, I am originally from NYC and recently graduated with my Masters in Film from Goldsmiths University of London. I am currently looking for more full time work and in the meantime I would love to put my nanny skills to use. I have experience in all areas of childcare from nursery worker to camp counselor to nanny for older children.
My Experience
I was a day camp worker for a summer minding children from ages 5-12 for one summer. I was also a sleep-away camp counselor at Camp Walden an all-girls camp for two summers, minding children from ages 7-15. It was a full-time role working every day of the week, all day and night. I was also a nanny for a family in Washington D.C. I would pick the children, a sister and brother ages 13 and 10, from school and camp and would drive them to their after-school activities or back home. I would help the kids with their homework and make a light dinner. I worked around 25 hours a week for three months over the summer. I was also a nanny for a family in Westport, Connecticut where I looked after two brothers aged 16 and 13. I would drive them to their after-school activities, help with homework and make dinner and I would also do some light grocery shopping. I worked around 25 hours a week for four months.
My Qualifications
I have been a nanny, a camp counselor, a babysitter and a nursery worker.
My Availability
I am available mostly in the late afternoons to the evenings.
