About Me
I’d love to care for children and think they’re adorable! I have a younger cousin who is 10 years younger than me and always loved looking after her growing up from when she was a toddler to how she is now! I get along great with all ages of kids as I get to there level of playfulness and interests like watching animated movies and playing games like Roblox it all comes natural to me. I love colouring and have a large collection of colouring books themed around cartoons as I’m a sucker for animation and games so I have a lot of knowledge secretly on these topics such as trolls, shopkins, monster high, Disney and anything else! I grew up with a younger sister and I was basically her second mother growing up so people see me as a mother figure as I always have everything in my bag from plasters and paracetamol to perfume and makeup. I can easily match any child’s energy whether they’re hyper and excited or quiet and relaxed. I grew up being a very ‘different’ child and was very quiet but also friendly, I spent most of my days drawing or playing pretend and watching cartoons and always trying to make friends wherever I went! Who children interact with growing up makes a huge impact on there future self’s and I’d love to help kids grow and develop there creative sides and ideas in life!
My Experience
Although I don’t have any recordered experience I currently work at the Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay which has a lot of children come in, I’ve worked every Saturday for 3 years and met the craziest and most adorable kids there and it made me realise how much I adore them and want to have kids of my own in the future. I worked temporarily in a arcade which again you get some characters in there, most parents would leave there kids in the arcade and go to the bar so I’d constantly be monitoring the children and making sure they were having fun and weren’t overwhelmed by the noises. I’ve looked after my younger cousin tons of times and never had a issue with it I always offer to my aunt to look after her as she’s a handful and crazy but I always get a laugh out of her and have fun as I can match her energy perfectly.
My Qualifications
Although I don’t have any child related qualifications I have a Distinction* equivalent to a A+ in health and social as well as in ICT GCSES. I have an art & design diploma as-well as my other GCSES ; 6 art, 4a English, 3 maths, 2-3 science.
My Availability
I currently work Mondays and Saturdays at my job but when half term rolls around the hours will go up! I’m available evenings and mornings :)
