My Experience

I’ve been babysitting children in my neighbourhood since I was 16, caring for kids ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. My responsibilities included feeding, nappy changes, bedtime routines, school pickups, and planning fun, age-appropriate activities. As the eldest of four siblings, I’ve always played a hands-on role helping my mum with childcare, from soothing newborns to helping with homework and running errands.

In addition to my babysitting background, I’ve developed strong interpersonal and organisational skills through professional roles such as senior waitress at Dukes Hotel and customer consultant at MB Heating and Plumbing. These positions taught me how to stay calm under pressure, multitask effectively, and communicate clearly, all of which help me create a safe and supportive environment when caring for children.

My Qualifications

I hold a BA (Hons) in Politics from Coventry University, where I graduated with a 2:1 and completed a year-long industrial placement. While my academic background is not in childcare, my degree helped me develop critical thinking, time management, and communication skills — all valuable when working with children and families.

In addition, I’ve gained a range of transferable skills through my work in customer service roles, including at Dukes Hotel and MB Heating and Plumbing, where I learned to stay calm under pressure, resolve issues efficiently, and communicate clearly with people of all ages. I’m also trained in health and hygiene practices from my time in hospitality, which I apply when preparing meals or maintaining clean and safe environments for children.

My Availability

I’m available on weekdays from early mornings, which means I can help with school drop-offs, morning routines, or full-day care as needed. I’m also flexible and happy to support on weekends when required. My reliable schedule allows me to be consistent and adaptable to your family’s needs whether that’s occasional help or regular support throughout the week.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour

My fees are open to discussion and can be negotiated based on the number of children, hours required, and specific responsibilities involved. I’m happy to have a conversation to find a rate that works well for both of us and reflects the support your family needs.
