About Me
Hello! I'm Eccie.
My partner Chris and I are about to have our first baby, and we're so excited about the newest member of our family joining us in our new home in Clerkenwell.
I run two food companies in Hackney with my sister Gini (who has just had her first baby), and Chris works in the film industry.
We're both in our early thirties, we love music, movies, dancing, and food, and we hope our child will brought up in a open and fun environment, filled with love, friends, and family.
Both of our families are close by and we spend a lot of time with them.
My sister and I would love our new babies, who will be just two months apart, to be as close as we are. Because we work together and we're aligned on our childcare approach, we would like to explore a nanny share.
My Requirements
We're looking for a full time nanny share from the end of September.
Here's a few more details on what we're looking for:
- Someone who can understand our needs, be able to get to know us in an informal and relaxed setting while also remaining professional. Gini and I will have different needs when it comes to quiet family time and privacy, sharing time with each other and with the nanny, and finding the right balance for both our families will be key.
- Experience with newborns and very young children: neither of us have strong opinions on early years parenting, and we lack experience, the right nanny will be a guide and teacher while remaining relaxed as we discover what kind of parents we are.
- First-aid trained, with recent qualifications.
- A safe, confident driver. We will insure you on our car so that you can transport the kids between houses (Clerkenwell and Hackney) and to and from our office (in Hackney).
- Someone who is excited to take the kids to fun activities and events, and confident looking after two children at the same time in different settings.
- Someone who can be flexible, while also being reliable: Both of our families will require some flexibility, especially with start and finish times – but we need a nanny who is reliable and shows up for us. Just because we need an early start one day, doesn’t mean we'll can offer an early finish. All four of us – me, Chris, Gini, and her husband – have demanding and sometimes unpredictable jobs, so having a nanny at home who can be relied on to cover any gaps is essential.
- Someone who is open to babysitting days.
- Someone who is clean and tidy, and happy to cook where necessary: Gini and I love cooking, and we have regular cleaners at our houses, but we'd love our nanny to take care of the kids' spaces, do their laundry if needed, tidy up after them, keep things generally clean and hygienic, and if required can prepare their meals.
- Someone direct and open, who is easy to talk to and get on with, and who can gauge how much or little to communicate with each of us during the day.
Also:
- You can decide your own holiday schedule
- We can offer condensed hours on a 4 day schedule
