About Me

I am a 43 year old lady who currently works within Specialist Education for a third year where I have experience with Autism, Challenging Behaviour and Learning Delays among others. I have worked within childcare and education for 27 years in total - mostly in a nursery that provides wrap around care for children aged 2 months to 11 years. I have experience as a housekeeper/cleaner as my job role within the nursery covered this as well as caring for the children, making meals, invoicing, safeguarding, manual handling, health and safety and food hygiene among many other jobs involved caring for children. I hold a Bachelor's Degree (level 6) in Childhood Studies Care and Education. I do not currently hold a valid first aid certificate or food hygiene certificate but I am in the process of booking them and will update my profile as soon as possible. I have my own car (taxed, insured and MOT’d) and if required to travel for work/with children I would update my insurance to business use to cover this. I have a DBS in place at the school I work in. I am a kind, caring and patient individual who understands the importance of meeting a child’s needs in a way that suits them. I do not shirk away from any household duties or childcare duties and ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times. I believe children learn best through play and any activities/learning required would be fun giving the children as many experiences as possible. I am a prompt, trustworthy and capable individual who understands that children are the most treasured jewels of our lives and they must be treated as such alongside boundaries and expectations set by you. You can be assured that your children, home and pets will be safe with me and that confidentiality is of the utmost importance in any job role I am employed in.
