My Experience
My childcare journey began by looking after my neighbour’s twin children — a boy and a girl — whom I've cared for since they were babies. Over the years, I’ve continued to babysit them regularly as they’ve grown up, supporting their development at every stage. My responsibilities included bottle-feeding and changing nappies in the early years, then evolving to preparing meals, supervising homework, engaging in creative activities, and maintaining consistent routines as they got older.
In addition to caring for the twins, I have also babysat for a 10-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy currently in Year 7. These experiences have helped me adapt to different age groups and understand how to meet the unique needs of each child — whether that means imaginative play, educational support, or simply being a calm and positive presence in the home.
I have also provided care for older children up to the age of 14, supporting them with after-school routines, helping with homework, and creating a space where they feel safe, listened to, and respected.
Parents have trusted me to care for their children with reliability, warmth, and professionalism. I take great pride in creating a nurturing environment that supports both the child’s wellbeing and the family’s routine.
My Qualifications
I have completed a 12-hour Paediatric First Aid course, which equipped me with essential skills in emergency response, CPR, and general health and safety for both infants and children. In addition, I hold a Level 1 Safeguarding of Children certificate, giving me a strong understanding of child protection principles and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment. I am also able to provide a DBS check upon request.
My Availability
I am currently available for part-time nannying and babysitting alongside my university studies. My schedule is flexible, and I am particularly available for evenings and weekends, which works well for families needing after-school or occasional support.
As a student, I’m able to adapt my availability to fit around your family’s needs — and from April onward, once my university year finishes, I will have even greater flexibility and availability for additional shifts, daytime hours, and short-notice bookings.
