My Summary

My Experience

I have lots of experience working with people from all walks of life and children from many different backgrounds. I have worked across multiple primary schools in Merseyside, in Reception classes helping to manage those with special educational needs and engaging in learning through play, I have worked in the older year groups helping in their school work and managing groups.

For a long time I volunteered at my dance school with the little ones aged 2+ where I was looking after small groups of children teaching them to dance and helping them to have fun. Seeing the smiles on their faces was so rewarding and was the highlight of my week. During this time I built so many strong relationships with the gorgeous children in the class and was given the main responsibility to look after a little girl who struggled with attention and her behaviour. Being able to be firm but loving towards her and seeing her respond and listen and join in was something so amazing to see and showed that with perseverance the children can grow into amazing human beings. Her cuddles at the end of class are something I will never forget.

I have also been involved in roles within wards in Southport Hospital sitting with patients with dementia listening to their stories and holding their hands hoping them feel less alone. This isn't specifically working with children but it helped me to work with vulnerable people and those who needed a little extra time and patience. It taught me how too communicate in a way they could respond to and that sometimes the smallest things of a smile or brushing their hair made their day.

I have also had lots of experience babysitting my younger cousins during the newborn stage and throughout their childhood. I love every minute and have always seen myself in the motherly caring role.

My Qualifications

my highest level of qualification is
3 A* in Maths Chemistry and Biology A level
I also have level one sign language qualification
although I have no childcare qualifications I have had a range of hands on life experience with all age ranges of children overcoming challenges and difficulties as they arise. I have trained as listening volunteers for Nightline and Childline listening services and have a strong work ethic and kind nature that I hope you will welcome into your home.

My Availability

I am currently finishing my first year of university at Bristol studying Psychology and Neuroscience and have the summer months free so I am available up until the middle of September at any time of the week really.
