My Summary

My Experience

I signed myself up to a company called Purcell in Oxford for a week of work experience over the Easter holidays to get an idea of the types of work architects do, as I want to become an interior designer. During this experience I completed challenging tasks, such as working as a team with my partner, who was older and from a different school. We had to measure certain rooms in the building and convert it so it fits onto paper, working to scale. I did two weeks of work experience, and for my second week I worked at my nearest Primary school. I helped teachers in Year 2 to teach Maths, English and Art. During the children’s break time I tidied the classrooms, put out new tasks and school supplies around the room for them to come back to after break and just get straight into the next task. The children loved me there as I was very supportive and encouraged them to do the task to the best of their ability. I spent time with them at breaking to make sure they enjoyed their games.

My Qualifications

In my secondary school I did art as a GSCE and got a grade 6 and I also passed maths by getting a grade 4 on foundation.

I have done a FFA Level 3 award in emergency First aid. This will enable me to assist anyone in the workplace in emergency situation. This includes emergency CPR and first aid for babies and children. My skills would be transferable to a range of work places, from childcare to retail. I am a hardworking and reliable person, willing to learn on the job and extend my skills.

My Availability

I am available Monday-Friday from 17:00. Saturdays I am available from 12:00 and Sunday I am available the whole day. I do end school on the 6th June so I will have an extra long summer holiday and can work anytime during the day as I won’t have sixth form.
