My Experience

I have hands-on experience working with children in nursery settings and through university placements in both Reception and Nursery classrooms. These roles have allowed me to support children aged 3 to 7 with their early development, daily routines, and learning. I’ve worked closely with qualified staff to create fun, age-appropriate activities and help maintain a safe and caring environment. I’ve also volunteered with the Brownies, where I helped plan and lead sessions, encourage positive behaviour, and keep children engaged through creative and social activities. These experiences have helped me build strong communication skills, confidence in supervising groups, and a deep understanding of how to support young children in meaningful ways.

My Qualifications

I am currently completing a BA in Primary Education (ages 3–7) at Leeds Trinity University. Through my studies and placements, I have developed a strong understanding of early years education, child development, and safeguarding practices. I also hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check, which ensures I’m cleared to work with children and trusted in professional childcare settings. My training and experience continue to support my growth as a reliable and capable caregiver.

My usual rate is between £10 and £12 per hour depending on location, number of children, and the hours needed.
