My Summary

My Experience

My own personal experience as a teaching assistant has inspired me to apply for this role . I have been employed the past year and a half as a teaching assistant in a secondary school . I have had the opportunity to work directly with a variety of pupils in this role , and they all bring different challenges . My role has also allowed me to support children who are on the spectrum by implementing individualised learning strategies , offering additional assistance and creating a supportive environment tailored to their needs . Through this experience, I've also learned how to effectively help children of different academic abilities . Working closely with a particular year 8 class has also allowed me to support them through the transition from primary to post primary. As someone deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children, my aspiration to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) stems from working along side these pupils daily . I also have a great amount of experience caring for younger children ages 0-1 and toddler stage , I enjoy minding younger children and helping them grow and learn . I have had experience caring for a young toddler the past 2 years during weekends .

My Availability

I currently work as a classroom assistant in a secondary school, my availability would be from 4pm onwards during the week . I am also available on weekends .
