My Experience

Hi, I’m Freya – a dedicated and compassionate nanny with specialized experience in early years development and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). With 5 years of hands-on experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of children, each with their own unique strengths, needs, and personalities.

My background in early childhood education allows me to create nurturing, structured, and engaging environments that support developmental milestones through play, learning, and routine. I’m especially passionate about tailoring my approach to meet each child where they are—whether that means adapting communication techniques, implementing sensory-friendly activities, or working closely with families and professionals to provide consistent, holistic support.

I’m trained in Makaton, speech and language therapy, austism awareness, EYFS training and a Level 2 in Food and Hygiene and I approach every role with patience, empathy, and a genuine love for helping children grow in confidence and independence.

I have worked in a Primary school with ages 4-11 and also in a nursery setting where I have helped nurture 4 month old babies to 4 year old preschoolers!

My Qualifications

5 years experience in a childcare role.
Throughout my career, I’ve completed a wide range of training courses, including safeguarding, EYFS, speech and language therapy, phonics, Makaton, SEN and paediatric first aid, which have equipped me with the skills to confidently handle a variety of situations with calmness, care, and professionalism.

I believe in a balanced approach to childcare—combining structure and routine with creativity and play. Whether it’s planning engaging activities, supporting learning and development, or simply being a comforting and dependable presence, I’m passionate about helping children grow happy, healthy, and confident.

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
