My Experience

I’ve been caring for children on and off for over 20 years, both casually and more regularly. Most of the families I’ve worked with have been single-parent households, where I’ve provided flexible, consistent support. I’ve looked after children from 3 months old up to 10 years, including neurodiverse children with autism and Down syndrome, some non-verbal. I’m not a trained specialist, but I believe all children thrive with trust, patience, fun, and connection.

I’ve worked in London, and also travelled to the USA and Malta to support families abroad. I’m comfortable caring for up to three children at a time — typically involving school pickups, active play, homework, reading, bedtime routines, and even gentle encouragement around chores or problem-solving. I’m confident with nappies, light cooking, and happy to involve children in the kitchen when it’s safe to do so. I’m also fine with pets and happy to help with their care too.

Whether it’s one-off help or regular care, I approach every child with calm, kindness, and presence. Nothing much fazes me — I’m here to support families, connect with kids, and offer care that’s both practical and heart-led.

My Qualifications

I hold a general DBS check and am happy to obtain an enhanced one if required. I’m trained in First Aid and confident handling everyday accidents or emergencies calmly and safely. My background in hospitality, working at a high-end private members club, has sharpened my attention to detail, resilience, and ability to stay calm under pressure — all of which I bring into my work with children.

I’ve also studied acting and stage directing in Lithuania, which adds a creative and expressive dimension to how I connect with kids, especially through imaginative play. While I’m not formally trained in childcare, I have two decades of hands-on experience and a deep belief in meeting children with presence, trust, and adaptability. I’m more than willing to take on any additional training or courses that would support the individual needs of the child or family I work with.

My Availability

Although I’m not currently based in the Isle of Skye, I’m actively looking for opportunities in the area ahead of my planned move. I’m open to discussing roles in advance and happy to travel for the right fit.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
• Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)

I’m flexible with my rates, as I understand that every family’s situation is different — especially outside of London. My priority is finding the right fit and being able to support myself with basic living costs like rent and food. I’m happy to discuss fees based on your needs, the role, and what works for both of us.

However I have to choose an hourly rate, so added my current rate. NOT DEFINITE.
