My Summary

My Experience

I worked for 4 months with a family in 2022 with 2 boys (8 weeks and 18 months when I started). Most of this role was with the 8 week old, feeding with the bottle, night routine, tummy time, stroller walks, etc. I also did some light cooking for the older son. The next summer, 2023, I spent 4 months as an au pair for 2 boys (7 and 9 years old) in Brussels for 2 months, then travelling with them for 2 months. I worked as an English tutor, but also took the city bus to and from school for pickup, and then helped keep them organized and safe as we travelled. My most recent experience was this summer May-September with 2 children (a 5 year old boy and a 7 year old girl). This was sometimes full days and sometimes after school, picking them up, helping with homework, or later doing camp and other summer activities.

My Qualifications

In addition to my childcare experience, I have other assets that help with the role. I'm First Aid Certified by the American Red Cross, and additionally I was a swimmer for 10 years and have helped kids learning to swim in the past. My undergraduate degree involved languages, so I speak English, French, and Italian (learning Spanish slowly). I've also worked with 2 tutoring agencies before and have a lot of experience with kids of all ages, teaching Math and English especially.
