About Me
I offer small group (max 4 students) and 1:1 tutoring, specialising in maths and developing the confidence and skills of those who find maths a challenge. My lessons are based online, or here in Eastleigh. I have a real passion for developing the confidence of those children who believe they can't, when really they can! The light bulb moment when it clicks into place is the best reward ever. My lessons are nurturing and tailored to each individual students. I use a range of strategies to support the needs of each child, and to encourage engagement and participation.
My Experience
I have been a teacher for over 20 years, and have been tutoring for 10+. Having worked in primary and secondary schools, both state and independent, I have a wide experience across the ages and stages of the curriculum. I have extensive experience supporting children who find maths a real struggle, as well as those wishing to take entrance exams to local independent schools. I am currently studying to become a specialist Dyscalculia teacher whilst also running my own tutoring business, KM Tutoring.
My Qualifications
I completed my PGCE in 2004 and hold valid QTS. I am fully insured and DBS checked. References available upon request.
