About Me
We’re a loving and busy family of four based in Caeathro. We have two young children — our eldest is a bright and curious 4-year-old who loves imaginative play, exploring nature, and anything to do with vehicles or farming! Our youngest is a happy 7-month-old baby who enjoys cuddles, music, and crawling.
We’re warm, respectful, and value gentle, responsive care. We try to create a home environment that’s calm, creative, and supportive of each child’s individual needs and interests. Both parents are involved and hands-on, and we believe in open communication, kindness, and consistency.
We also understand the ups and downs of early childhood — we’re not expecting perfection, just someone who genuinely enjoys children and can become a trusted part of our little team.
My Requirements
We’re looking for someone experienced, kind, and reliable to help us care for our children, mainly in the after school/evening period. Flexibility is important to us, as we may need a mix of regular part-time hours and occasional extra support (especially during school holidays or when one parent is working on-call). Currently there is also flexibility about which days would suit you. There would be a view to increasing hours in September when I go back to work from maternity leave.
We’d love to find someone who:
• Has experience with both babies and preschoolers
• Can support gentle routines (including toilet learning and feeding)
• Understands or is willing to learn about food allergies (we’re dairy- and soy-free)
• Is warm, playful, and responsive in their approach
We’re open to different arrangements — nanny, childminder, or mother’s help — and would love to hear from you if you think you could be a good fit for our family.
