Start Date: ASAP & need to be available May 19-25
Hours: Ad hoc babysitting (weekdays/weekends), scheduled nanny cover with advance notice
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Description:

We are looking for a kind, calm, and highly organised individual to provide ad hoc babysitting and nanny cover. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for someone experienced with babies and looking to build a long-term, trusted relationship with the family.

Babysitting hours may include weekday evenings or weekends.
Nanny cover will be scheduled in advance, with notice provided for the dates and hours needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide warm and attentive care to the baby
• Follow and support baby-led routines, including baby-led weaning
• Carry out all nursery duties to a high standard, including bottle prep, meal clean-up, laundry, and maintaining a tidy play and sleep space
• Respect family privacy and maintain clear professional boundaries
• Be confident with baby developmental milestones and engage in age-appropriate play and interaction
• Use clear and gentle communication, recognising and responding to the baby’s cues and needs
• Maintain a high level of organisation and communication with the family
• Babysitting may involve bed and bath routines, as well as settling

Desirable:
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn baby sign language
• Experience working in private homes or similar settings
• A natural understanding of social boundaries and a discreet presence in the home

Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS check
- certified first aider
- Driving license great plus
• Experience caring for babies (0–2 years preferred)
• Two references from previous childcare roles
• Non-smoker
• Fluent in English
