My names are Flavia Turyamuhaki, a wife and mother to 2 daughters all grownups now.
My Experience
I have more than 10 years experience working with children all of whom are autistic and/or have learning difficulties with a range of layered complex needs both in schools and home settings.
Working in a school setting as a TA/Support Staff, I provide and support children with functional living skills that will prepare them for adulthood so that they can participate positively in family and community life.
My roles include working closely with class teachers, Physiotherapists, SLT, OT and families etc in delivering children's needs both physical and educational so that they are able to maximise their potential and abilities.
Presently, I am working as an ABA Tutor in a Secondary School supporting children with behaviours that may be challenging.
Carer/Nanny: I have supported a young person with complex layered needs with home therapy interventions such as physio, administered medication through Bolus and pump feeding.
I am passionate about working with children with
SEN, a quick learner, very committed, reliable and I enjoy working collaboratively with teams to achieve goals.
