About Me
We are a multilingual, European couple in our mid-30s, settled in Chelsea for 10 years. Dad works full-time, while Mum is hands-on with the children. Our priority is creating a joyful, stimulating environment for our little ones. We value openness, kindness, and a collaborative approach to childcare.
My Requirements
A warm, European family in Chelsea seeks an experienced, energetic, and loving nanny to join them in caring for their two children: a 2-year-old (starting nursery in September) and a 3-month-old newborn. This is a long-term role with shared responsibilities alongside the mother, emphasizing partnership, trust, and a child-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for both children, including developmental play, meal prep, and maintaining routines.
- Manage schedules: Nursery/school drop-offs/pick-ups, classes, playdates, and outdoor activities.
- Light household duties related to the children (laundry, tidying rooms, cleaning dishes).
- Support the mother in establishing newborn routines and adapting to the toddler’s nursery transition.
- Flexibility for occasional extra hours (paid hourly) and travel during school holidays (2–3 trips annually).
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as a nanny, with verifiable references and expertise in newborn/infant care.
- Personality: Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with an innate love for children and a calm, adaptable demeanor.
- Skills: Fluent English speaker; strong organizational/communication skills; familiarity with age-appropriate activities.
- Certifications: Up-to-date DBS check and pediatric first aid certification (preferred).
- Commitment: Seeking a stable, long-term role within a family-oriented household.
- Bonus (not essential): Interest in supporting bilingual development (children speak parents’ mother tongue at home). Education in the area of early childhood development or Montessori-inspired approaches. Clean driver’s license for occasional trips with children around town.
What We Offer:
- Generous salary (£55k–60k) reflecting experience and responsibilities.
- 7 weeks paid annual leave (aligned with family holidays).
- Supportive environment: A cheerful, social and respectful family who values kindness and transparency
- Travel opportunities: Join the family on holidays (accommodation/flights covered).
